Since this is the end of the month, and as most everyone knows, teachers get paid at the end of the month, I am using my own ads from the North Texas (DFW area) to do this weeks' challenge. To be honest, there is not much to get excited over for this week in the Kroger ad. As of Wednesday evening I have not seen the Wal-mart ad. I checked on-line but could not find one for grocery. I have checked out Central Market's ad and they have a decent price on grass fed ground beef, T-bones and 1 lb strawberries. Not much else in their ad made me swoon. I will say that it is hands down the best place for fresh fish and really good meat (if you have the money to spend). Alberston's appears to have a good meat sale going, but I am not always a fan of their meat, especially their steaks. CM is a far better product. Yes, Iam a meat snob. That said, Albertson's does have a good price on whole fryers this week, with a limit of 3...so take someone with you and stock up while they are cheap! They are great for the slow cooker and soups. I will be including some recipes for both later this week. Another tidbit to keep in mind is that Wal-Mart will pricematch any local ad, so when/if you head there take the ads with you.
